The second session of Visegrad Academy of Cultural Management (VACuM) took place between 9-18 March 2015 in Prague (Czech Republic). Persons working for public and private institutions and non-governmental organizations in the Visegrad Group countries and Eastern Partnership countries were invited for cooperation.
14. Visegrad Summer School will be held from 5 July 2015 to 18 July 2015. Call for applications will be open on 1 March 2015. Each candidate should register at www.visegradsummerschool.org and provide an on-line application form. Deadline for submitting applications: 31 March 2015. Accepted participants will be informed by 30 April 2015.
The Czech session of the Visegrad Academy of Cultural Management (VACuM) takes place from March 9 to 18, 2015 in Prague. VACuM is an educational project for young cultural managers. The aim of the two-year project is to develop the skills and qualifications in the management of cultural and art organisations, cultural policy and communication activities and to contribute to the support for cooperation among Central European and Caucasian countries.
We encourage you to familiarise yourselves with information on the activities carried out as part of the international “TransStar Europe” project in 2015. It aims at increasing the importance of smaller European languages and the less integrated cultures, as well as promoting translations and literature. The Visegrad Literary Residency Program, established 2012 by the International Visegrad Fund, consists of a series of residency stays and literary events addressed to writers of fiction and non-fiction, poets, essayists, critics as well as literary translators, publicists and journalists from the Visegrad Countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia).
Five-day workshops with secondary school pupils took place in a historic 16th-century castle in Szymbark (Malopolska Region) between the 9th and the 13th of February as part of yet another edition of the “Hip Hop, Put Hate to Stop!” project. The aim of the initiative is to combat discrimination and hate speech with the use of self-mockery, humour, music, and film.
The Association’s mission is to support and develop artistic and literary work, to promote international cultural and intellectual cooperation, and to carry out educational programmes addressed to children and young people. The ideas of meetings of representatives of various fields of science and culture, of various nationalities and areas of interest; the idea of thought exchange, and the promotion of pluralism and tolerance in public life lie at the heart of all the programmes of the Association.
