On Monday begins The Visegrad Summer School. It is already the seventh edition of the school organised by the Villa Decius Association. We planned a lecture and a panel debate with the Ambassadors of the Visegrad Group countries, Mr Borys Tarasyuk and Mr Witold Sobków on the future of the European Union for the inauguration. The ceremony will end with a concert of the Visegrad Cello Quartet.
Paweł Świeboda, the President of demosEUROPA – Centre for European Strategy, will deliver an inaugural lecture Future of European Union – reform treaty and finanscape raising issues of the Reform Treaty after the referendum in Ireland and the EU’s financial perspective. The participants of the panel debate Vision of Europe will continue the topic of the EU’s future. Our guests – Ambassadors of the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia, Mr Borys Tarasyuk, the former Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the founder of the Institute for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation (IEAC), and Mr Witold Sobków, a Political Director in Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Poland, will take part in the debate. It will be moderated by Paul Gillespie, a foreign editor of The Irish Times.
At the end of the inauguration the Visegrad Cello Quartet will perform works of Central European composers.
