At the beginning of June, within this year’s edition of the International Summer Academy of Arts, the Villa Decius Association organised open music shows, presentation of classical works of recognised composers and vocal pieces. The performers were students from primary and secondary music schools, and their teachers, as well as members of the choir of the S. Wyspiański 8th Secondary School of General Education. The concerts were open to everybody and performed in the Villa Decius gardens, and on an open-air stage.
There are also Special Concerts directed to teachers and students of primary schools from smaller towns and villages, which consist of talks expanding the knowledge on the scope of presented music genres or types of voices, workshop on construction of instruments and small concerts. Special Concerts in the nearest future will be attended by students of the Primary School in Bukowa. Interactive workshop is aimed at developing a conscious reception of culture by students and supplementing the curriculum. Another Special Concerts will take place in September and October.
