In 2010, at the initiative of the Polish and German ministers of culture, the Genshagen Foundation inaugurated the Polish-French-German programme of art residencies called “George Sand – Frédéric Chopin”, addressed to artists representing various fields of art. In 2015, three artists from the Weimar Triangle countries were invited for the third time to spend eight weeks at the Genshagen Palace.
An international jury selected three artists during a meeting on the 26th of March 2015. During their stay at the Genshagen Palace, the artists will create both individually and collectively, and they will have the chance to exchange experiences and think about a new direction of development – perhaps inspired by the life and works of the patrons of the residency programme, i.e. George Sand and Frédéric Chopin.
